Everlight won white LED patent litigation against Nichia

In 2011, Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit to JPO against Nichia, and requested the patent JP4530094 invalid. Everlight said the company has received the victorious notice from the Japan Patent Office recently, and concluded the Nichia patent invalid.
It is reported that Japanese Patent Office issued verdict on 1st May 2014, and concluded Nichia all the rights in this patent are invalid, which including the concentration distribution of white LED phosphor.
Everlight noted that the invalid of JP4530094 white LED patent is signification for the company fully opening Japanese market in future.
